set & asset modeling/ texturing/ shading artists
morro images is currently recruiting talented artists to support our team in Potsdam Babelsberg, Germany, for an upcoming feature film.
You know how to create and tweak both low and high poly sets and assets. You are using up to date modeling techniques to efficiently and cleanly create and tweak both hard surface and organic set assets. You have no problems creating flawless topology as well as usable uv layouts. You know how to create and tweak shading networks both procedurally and generically to match aesthetical requirements of the scene you are working on. You are able to take an artistic and analytical approach to the dramaturgical needs of a prop or scene, and know how to achieve both a harmonious and story supporting atmosphere and look. You can quickly create basic lighting setups to demonstrate an overall look and feel of a specific scene. You are able to work in a team, understand the need of thinking out of the box if necessary, and take on problems without hesitation.
experience working within a 3D production pipeline
excellent skills in Autodesk Maya workflows
knowledge of Mental Ray / Maya Software
advanced skills in Photoshop CS/CC
advanced skills in Illustrator CS/CC
advanced skills in shading techniques
advanced skills in up to date hard surface and organic modeling techniques
advanced skills in uv layouting and texturing techniques
a “good eye” for texturing, shading and lighting cg sets and assets
good understanding of linear workflows
experience in Mari is a plus
experience in zBrush and /or mudbox is a plus
working closely with team lead artists to determine the best approach to solve cg challenges.
